    China Council for the Promotion of InternationalTrade Datong Branch（hereinafter referred to as "Datong CCPIT"）, also called China Chamber of International Commerce, Datong Chamber of Commerce was founded in November,1989.
    Datong CCPIT is a nongovernmental organization for foreign economy and trade, formed by representative figures, enterprises, associations and organizations in Datong.
    Its purpose is, adhering to the policies and laws of our country, to promote foreign trade, utilize foreign capital, introduce in advanced foreign technology and develop various forms of economic and technological cooperations between China and foreign countries, so as to promote the development of relationship between every country and area in the world and our city in trade, economy and technology, and enhance mutual comprehension and friendly cooperation between the people of Datong city and various people all over the world and various circles of economy and trade.
    Its main tasks are：
    A、 To get in touch with economic and trade circles, industrial and commercial organizations all over the world and foreign organizations in China, to invite and receive foreign personages and delegations to visit our city, to organize trade and business representatives of Datong to go abroad for investigation
    B、 To develop relations between chambers of commerce and other international economic and trade organizations and us, and take part in their activities concerned
    C、 To organize Datong economic and technical circles to go abroad to take part in international fairs and symposium arrange for the foreigners and compatriots from the areas of HongKong, Macao and Taiwan the same kind fairs and trade talks being held in Datong
    D、 To provide law consulting service on international economic investment and technology transfering, mediate international disputes on economy and trade, issue certificates of origin for export commodities of Datong
    E、 To offer the trading economic and technical cooperation informations to enterprises and institutions both at home and abroad, act as go between in inviting investment, to recommend cooperation partners and help them in project negotiations during the whole courses.
    F、 to direct the work of chambers of international commerce in counties and profesions, to be in charge of relevent training service
    G、 to undertake other relevent affairs in promoting foreign economic and trade.
